It is presented the analytical close-form general solution to the problem to design the lens analogous to the parabola. The parabolic mirror has the geometrical property that focuses all the collimated rays that comes along the optical axis in a single point. The problem, first stated by Diocles, is how must be the shape of a lens in order it can collect all the rays in a single point, in other means, a lens free of spherical aberration, just like the parabolic mirror.
