SIAM Activity Group on Mathematics of Planet Earth - 2024 Prizes

Do you know a colleague who has made an outstanding contribution to the field of mathematics of planet earth? SIAM is now accepting nominations for two SIAG/MPE prizes.
Both prizes will be awarded at the 2024 SIAM Conference on Mathematics of Planet Earth (MPE24).

SIAM Activity Group on Mathematics of Planet Earth Prize

The prize is awarded every two years to one individual for significant scientific work in topic areas that are relevant to the mathematics of planet earth or for sustained or seminal contributions to the scientific agenda of the SIAG/MPE.

To qualify for the 2024 award, the following criteria must be met:

• Candidate must have been awarded their PhD no later than 2019.

SIAM Activity Group on Mathematics of Planet Earth Early Career Prize

The prize is awarded every two years to one outstanding early career researcher in the field of Mathematics of Planet Earth for distinguished contributions to the field in the six calendar years prior to the award year.

To qualify for the 2024 award, the following criteria must be met:

• Candidate must have been awarded their PhD no earlier than 2018.
