The Mathematics Research Center (Centro de Investigación en Matemáticas, A.C. - CIMAT), invites applications for one tenure-track position to be appointed starting anytime in 2020 (the starting date is flexible, it can be discussed with the selected candidate). The position is open to candidates at any stage of their careers.
Applications from all mathematical areas developed at Cimat are welcomed (see https://www.cimat.mx/es/Matematicas_basicas).
The teaching obligations are low: two courses per year to Mathematics majors. The net salary will depend on the candidate qualifications but it will be highly competitive in Mexico.
The application deadline is January 15th, 2020. All the applications must arrive by this date and include all of the following documents to be sent electronically to plazas.basicas@cimat.mx
1. Curriculum vitae.
2. Research statement describing the applicant's research goals.
3. List of research papers and electronic copies/preprints of selected ones.
4. At least two letters of recommendation sent directly to plazas.basicas@cimat.mx .
The results of the screening will be informed to the applicants by February 26th, 2020
